Methods aren’t “inspired” but can be very effective

“the Christian walk”, Eph 5:15-17

Wise people redeem their time

We are offering the SGP as a proven method of guidance and accountability so that we are being wise and redeeming the time the Lord has gifted us, as not to be foolish

The 5 Phases of the SGP:

  1. Preparation (Sept-Oct)

Asking and inviting God to begin revealing the direction He wants you to move toward | staying alert and open for His answers | Brain Dumping | Paying attention to and inquiring of people you trust spiritually | Questionnaires: don’t overthink this step, honesty is key here (Spiritual Disciplines, 10 Evaluations, Spiritual Gifts)

2. Development (Nov)

Settling in on a targeted area of growth, word of the year, mission statement of the year | Collecting tools/resources based on that word/mission of the year

3. Creating the Plan (Dec)

Limitations: Commitments/non-negotiables | Leaving Margin | Being honest with your priorities | Evaluating your “busy”, pulling out the unnecessary | Being intentional with your gaps/free time | Color coding idea | “Budgeting your time” | Monthly, weekly, daily schedule breakdowns

4. Accountability

Choosing a partner, NOT YOUR BFF, that will hold you to your plan | Set meetings for the whole year with partner | Not about condemnation, but evaluation | Quarterly evaluation quizzes and zoom check in’s

5. Implementation of Steps 1-4 (Jan-Dec)

“Just do it” | Work your plan | Utilize your schedules | Tracking progress on tasks

Community online

It’s natural to feel overwhelmed at first, but know that the goal is growth, not perfection or success

Building up habits that produces gratitude of what He wants to do in your life

“Nothing is going to stop me from the mission You’ve set before me, Lord” is our heart

Celebrations are important

God will meet you in your desires and efforts to be more disciplined with what He wants to grow you in for His glory

Lauren Henriques

Lauren moved to to a small South Carolina town with her family three years ago to be closer to the mountains, so she thought. Unbeknownst to her, God had some bigger plans to deepen her passionate pursuit of Christ by propelling her forward in her understanding of the word of God through a local church. Lauren has always been a passionate, fun-loving, energetic encourager at her core! She has been zealously pursuing a relationship with Jesus Christ for just over 14 years after He saved her from a life rooted in recklessness and addiction. She now serves on the Women's Ministry team at her local church as the Media coordinator and continues to hone her skills and learn how to become a bible teacher in her local community. Lauren also owns and operates a small media company where she takes advantage of the opportunity to share Christ with people who may never ordinarily step foot through the doors of a church. She uses every opportunity she can to love God and love people passionately.
